Do games like Tequila Poker and Roulette scare you? Do you think card counting has something to do with counting the bills in your credit card statement? Did our recent article on Playboy Playmate Jillian Beyor (she’s a BetUS model as well) get your attention but you have no idea what the heck do girls in bikinis have to do with online casinos?
So maybe you’re a beginner to online casinos – you’ve hit up Full Tilt Poker yet you thought a Full House was a television show in the 90s or you joined Casino Classic and you have no clue what to do next. One of the easiest (if not THE easiest) card games to play in casinos online is Casino War. Unlike other card games that require skills and strategies of the players involved in order to win, this game does not need any skill – whatsoever. This is the right game if you simply want to gamble without thinking very hard. Or if you’re drunk.
The game starts when you place your bet. The dealer then gives you one card face up and gives himself a card as well. At this point, the game has been decided and all that’s left is to figure out who won. The winner of Casino War is the one with the higher card. Seriously, the rules in Casino War are as simple as that. When the dealer has a higher card you automatically lose and if you have the higher card you win. The cards are ranked by its face value with the ace being the highest card.
Maybe I mis-spoke a little earlier because there is a slight twist to Casino War besides just the highest-card wins thing. If you and the dealer have a tie, you can then go to war with the dealer. This means you now have one of two options:
Option 1: Surrender and you lose half of your original bet.
Option 2: Double your bet and go to war. When you go to war, first the dealer burns three cards. Then both you and the dealer get a card. If your new card equals or beats the dealer’s new card then you win even money on the war raise – the original bet is a push. If the dealer’s second card is greater than yours though, you then lose both bets.
There’s a special bet you can make in some casinos where you can bet on a tie happening – that pays 10:1 odds. My recommendation: don’t do it, the odds are terrible (19% house edge when using 6 decks). Let’s say you bet normally and you tie with the dealer. Always go to war. The reason I say this, is because you’ll be making a better bet by going to war than surrendering in the long-term. Many casinos also offer a bonus payout if you go into a tie. Plus, what fun is it to just surrender? Argh, just fight the bastard!
Since this game is so damn easy to play, many beginner online casino players are allured to it. You don’t really need to think so much in the game as compared to other casino games and you just depend on the luck of the draw and gut intuition.
Casino War is playable at online casinos like Casino Classic, Zodiac Casino, CS Casino, OmniCasino and Playboy Casino.
